Sons and Daughters Of our Creatrix
Hearken to Me
I am a creature of the night
An angel of the shadows
I have taken my sip of Eternity
From Her appointed chalice
You need have no fear of the outside
In numbers we will find strength
Reach out to Me I shall take your hands
Look to the West and raise your sword
Call Me away from my abode upon Saturn
From within the Womb of Time
Children, you are no less than I
You are vampire
You are the energy of the universe
Death, Fate, and Chaos shall favor you
Always in My name
By the blood have naught to fear

"There are a billion websites about vampires online," you may be thinking. "How is this one going to be any different?"
For starters, I am not concerned with proving the veracity of our existence to anyone. I don't want to change your mind. Hell, if you have a mind, more power to you. Basically I have discovered that people will either accept the possibility that real vampires exist or they won't, and I don't particularly care about the second group.
I'm also not handing out the cosmic recipe for what makes a vampire. You know whether this is for you or not. If you haven't figured it out, there are plenty of sites to help you explore the schema of your existence. I'd like to address if at all possible that part of the vampire population that has come through its identity crisis and its metaphysical adolescence and is now ready to discuss some of the deeper issues--theories of genetic origins for example.
Vampire Philosophe. What does it mean? Well, it began as a joke...that is, my Order making fun of me. The Philosophes were an eighteenth century intellectual movement with a distinctive French flavor. I'm called the Vampire Philosophe because I have an occasionally annoying habit of extolling the logical, the rational, the scientific, and the academic at the same time I can spin the tale of Fluffy the God of Cotton Swabs. Anyway, if you not only enjoy being a vampire but enjoy thinking about vampirism and its almost infinite spins, you might be a Philosophe too. I welcome you.
Seriously, I'm not the Martha Stewart of the vampire community. I can't tell you how to be the perfect vampire (even if I can tell you how to get blood stains out of your clothes). But what fun is perfect? Every screw up is a lesson learned. If you keep going, you'll find my personal favorite resources for all things vampire, including points of access into the online vampire community. It's my conviction that if you string the right pieces of information together, you can get a pretty good vampire education online.
This site had a nebulous beginning and seems to have an ever-changing existence. I haven't done all of the things I'm aiming to do yet, but I also figure the promise of expansion will keep you interested and coming back to see what's new. Basically The Quadrivium is my attempt at a dynamic interactive vampire community online, while Vampires Evolving is the online interpretation of the vampiric order that means so much to me, the Order of Maidenfear. Both of these are open groups welcoming serious seekers as well as the curious.

All right, I have a few e-mail policies you might want to read through before clicking on the Mailbox Monster and sending your thoughts at the speed of dark.
The difference between being polite and being an ass is the difference between getting a response and getting ignored.
Do not ask me to make you, to turn you, or to otherwise perform any action that you think will turn you into a vampire. Not only will I delete your mail, but I'll also know you haven't read this or any of several other sites.
If you have an honest question, I'll give you an honest answer. If you need some help, I'll do what I can to assist you there too.
