Welcome To Yamato Rose
Spoilers: Farewell Space Battleship Yamato
And now for the fun stuff...
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR--
Yuki would never have an affair like you had her do in "Reality Check". C'mon, she tried to kill herself when she thought Kodai was dead, and she was willing to die for/with him on numerous occasions.
I strongly disagree with you about Kodai not showing emotions. What about all his tears, anguish, anger, joy, laughs,... throughout the series and movies? He didn't mourn Yuki any less when he thought she died. You're just too hung up about the lack of kissing shown. Remember Yamato came out in the 70's in Japan. I've heard that kissing was considered too erotic for TV back then in many Asian countries.
I would like to point out that (a) Yuki DOES die at the end of Arriverderci Yamato and (b) a sex scene at the very end of Final Yamato was cut from most versions available in the United States--sounds erotic to me.
Hung up on the lack of kissing? Hey, it's just freaking weird from an American cultural standpoint, which I believe I made clear in this site. I'm not Japanese and thus I can't possibly approach this from a Japanese cultural background. I think I also made this clear. In fact, isn't there a section titled "Cultural Differences"?
So why then did this person bother to come to this site if she wasn't going to actually READ anything? Oh, right, and Macross was made in Japan around the same time--complete with kissing.
Well, that's my take. May the rest of you have smooth flying through cerulean skies!

Answer THE Question!
I suspect that the bane of any webmaster's life is the comment occasionally received from a visitor who clearly missed the point of the site. As I don't really check what was the guestbook all that often, my comment in question was posted on February 4, 2005 without my notice. However, when I did look and discovered this piece of brilliance (by someone calling herself "Nova Wildstar" and providing no other information or means of contact, of course) I realized it was the quintessential example of a site visitor who somehow missed the entire point of this site. What's the point of sticking your tongue in your cheek if people don't get it? Fortunately, this is the only such example I've received.
